Mission Statement (Bethel Junior Academy)

Learning to walk daily in God’s footsteps on the path that He has
created.

Our Philosophy

The Bethel Junior Academy is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide a spiritually oriented education for children. A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental in the philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist schools. We respect His divine authority and recognize His intervention in human affairs. We believe that true education develops the spiritual, mental, and physical powers of each student; preparing them for the joy of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to:

  • develop a personal relationship with God and his fellow men as stated in Matthew 2:37-39
  • master the basic academic skills
  • value labor, physical and mental, as the blessing God intended
  • cultivate physical fitness, mental ability, and moral purity as the blessing God intended.

The Bethel Junior Academy is operated in harmony with the guidance and direction of the Office of Education, North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Academic Excellence, Life Enrichment

Family is important at Bethel Junior Academy—your family and our school family. BJA offers a comprehensive academic education for children from Grade 1 to Grade 8. Our smaller student body provides many opportunities for students to develop and use the gifts God has given—gifts like leadership, music, creativity, compassion, physical skills, and friendship. Our goal is for our graduates to be successful students throughout their further education, and responsible thoughtful citizens of the world. We believe that in the process of preparing and guiding young people toward intellectual growth and moral and spiritual awareness, the beginning is everything.

At BJA, teachers provide an environment where children feel secure, loved and respected. Students are encouraged to develop a love for learning, as they develop basic skills for a lifetime of education. Our teachers hold Bachelor Degrees from a range of Colleges and Universities, to provide the tools for your child to survive and succeed on their journey to excellence.

Together we can give students a safe and supportive environment, while they make choices, decide on values, and continue on their spiritual journey.  In so doing, our students are nurtured and are made to feel important and needed.
